Student Engagement Summit

Each spring, the Student Engagement Summit convenes educators from across the University for an in-person, one day event at the University Park campus. The Summit is an opportunity for Penn State’s engagement advocates to build partnerships, exchange information and ideas, and forge strategies to make engagement an even more integral and transformative part of the Penn State student experience. Faculty of any rank, staff, and graduate instructors from any Penn State campus are welcome to attend, whether engagement is a central part of your role or one of many professional interests.

Through an agenda that typically includes presentations, large group discussions, and interactive breakout sessions, attendees have the opportunity to:

  • Learn about Penn State student engagement efforts, programming, and events
  • Learn how the University can support students’ and educators’ needs related to student engagement
  • Examine student engagement programs and resources in their own units
  • Identify societal challenges that impact student engagement
  • Build partnerships to help facilitate student engagement

The 2024 Summit will take place on May 14, 2024. More details will be available on the event website as the event approaches.

“The Student Engagement Summit is an opportunity to reflect on the past academic year and address critical or key issues face by the institution. Then, with forward thinking academic, programmatic, and community partners, work together to create momentum, successful solutions, and grow the network.”

Director of the Student Engagement Network
