Community Partnerships

Enlist our students in your mission.

Community partnerships help fulfill Penn State’s land-grant mission to educate and serve citizens of the Commonwealth, and beyond. Coupled with classroom learning, engagement prepares our students to make a positive impact on the world—as citizens, as professionals, and as leaders. We welcome collaborations with non-profits, civic-minded organizations, local businesses with a public-service mission, schools, and government.

Partnerships can take many forms and provide a variety of benefits to our students and your organization:

  • Hire students for internships in summer or part-time positions throughout the year
  • Enlist students to serve as volunteers for special projects or programs or members of your board
  • Collaborate with a student organization on a service project
  • Develop specific experiences for students, such as a course with an out-of-classroom component
  • And more
